I really wanted to create some magical smaller earrings, so you know I just had to use opals. Did I have another choice? For these earrings, I created my own sterling silver headpins out of 24 gauge wire. I then strung on 9mm magical irregular turquoise beads and 7mm sparkling Ethiopian opals. The earwires are sterling silver lever backs. Each earring is just under 1 ½” long and weighs 1.76 grams.
