In China, dragons are benevolent, powerful, and associated with water, rain, rivers, and cosmic balance. They are not fire-breathing monsters but bringers of life and prosperity. This Earth Dragon necklace reminds me of a new dawn, the feeling in the air after a much needed rain. The hessonite garnet peek through the lodalite and indian agate like the first warm rays of sunlight through a thick canopy of lush leaves.
This necklace was inspired by the amazing 48mm indian agate carved dragon pendant. The detail in even the carved scales is just incredible. The bail was created with glistening glass seed beads. The two main stones making up the necklace are 7x8mm prism cut Indian agate and 8x10mm lodalite faceted tubes. In between each stone is a 2x4mm faceted hessonite garnet.
The necklace is finished with my handcrafted sterling silver chain and hook clasp. It is adjustable from 22”-23.5”. The pendant hangs down a little over 2”.
