This necklace was inspired by the painting The Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. I really wanted to try to capture the color and the playfulness of the painting.
I started with this gorgeous graduated rhodonite which ranges in size from 8-15mm. Throughout the necklace I’ve sprinkled ruby in what I believe is kyanite. I also believe this is what the focal stone is. Both definitely are ruby in something! Around the focal stone are 18mm marquise cut aventurine, 2mm green tourmaline, and sterling silver chain. To finish the ends of the necklace, I used 5mm garnet rounds and 3mm aventurine rounds. The clasp is a sterling silver toggle that I have wrapped with 2mm green tourmaline and 2mm rubies.
