I bet I don’t even have to tell you what these earrings were inspired by, but I’m going to tell you anyway. These earrings were inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night. This painting is actually on display less than 5 miles from me at the Museum of Modern Art.
These earrings are 20 gauge sterling silver that I have shaped and set into immobile hoops. These will come with silicone earring backs.
These hoops have many layers of wrapped wire and gems to make them sturdy and full of depth. The gems are 1.7mm lapis, 2mm yellow opals, 2mm dark blue cubic zirconia, and 2mm faceted tanzanite.
Each earring is 3.87 grams and measures just under 1 ¼” long.
